Who are we & what do we do
PEOPLE THAT WORK WITH ME, ARE NOT JUST Staff, Associates or Line workers.
They are part of my team
WE are a group of people forming one team in the hospitality industry
WE are a number of people organized to function cooperatively as a group
My Team is never below me….. They just have a different role than me with different responsibilities
The leader of the team (spa director) has to show Empathy
The ability to identify with and understand each team member's feelings or there direction in life
This is a 2 way street
Director to employees and employees to director
As director I know where I am going and what I want to happen. But my team need to know where there are going and they need to know I know
My team, are the tools of the trade, therefore, my showing due consideration, implementing the standards, a strong, loyal team becomes an envied accomplishment. Think of it like a commando team. The leader is just another member of the team but knowing how each other member thinks acts and also knowing there dreams. This is important. Help develop there dreams they will give more to you now, if they know that in time they will develop if that is there desire.
I like to have a solid foundation for understanding how people function in the workplace. My position as director it is to take that information and use it in a constructive way to make the work environment productive and harmonious. Having a united team is remaining aware of the emotions and the personalities of others. The spa will be financially successful, with adeptness in problem solving. Maintaining and preserving the Spa's vision and mission. This will mean a willingness to learn new skills and systems, as the market place dictates.
Training serves to achieve the highest standards through continuing education while monitoring team members for professional growth, through this monitoring, constant individual assessment and support programs can be developed. I am conscientious to persevering individuals who take on responsibility driven by a sense of duty and adherence to exacting standards. Including setting and implementing staffing levels with standards for all technical service providers and support positions. This way they can provide their colleagues with steady support. Promoting, an atmosphere dedicated to serenity and calm.
As the spa director not getting tense, the chances are that the staff won't either. Therefore the guests can experience a serene and peaceful environment.

Remember the guest will sense if we are a team or just a group of people just working together in a spa
